Technically, it's a PT-17, which was a Stearman Model 75 with a Continental R-670-5 engine.

Interesting guess, but it's a little earlier than that. It's a Boeing PT-17, which is basically a Boeing-Stearman Model 75 with a Continental engine.

Strangely, the PT-17 was my original pick until I saw the name "Boeing". I always thought it was just a Stearman.
Learned something today.
